Édouard Bonnefous (1907-2007) elected Chancellor of the Institut de France

Édouard Bonnefous, French politician and member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques, became chancellor of the Institut de France in 1978. He succeeded Jacques Rueff, chancellor from 1968 to 1978. Édouard Bonnefous is the founder of the Prix Édouard- Bonnefous at the Institut de France. The prize is alternately awarded to a work that has contributed to reducing the burden of the State on citizens and a work devoted to the defense of human rights.
