Marcel Landowski (1915-1999) elected Chancellor of the Institut de France
The composer, Marcel Landowski, previously the Permanent Secretary to the Académie des Beaux-Arts from 1986 to 1994, became Chancellor of the Institut de France on January 1st, 1994. He succeeded Édouard Bonnefous, who had held the role since 1978.
