The members of the Institute, left the Louvre after it was transformed into a Museum, and settled at the Collège des Quatre-Nations

Following a decision taken on March 20th, 1805, the members of the Institute leave the Louvre, now a museum, and settle at the quai de Conti, in the palaces previously occupied by the Collège des Quatre-Nations. They shared the buildings with the École des Beaux-Arts until 1820.
