Revival of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques

Guizot, the minister of Public Instruction under Louis-Phillippe, reinstated the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques  (Royal Decree Octobre 26, 1832) making it the youngest of the five Academies that today make up the Institut de France. The Academy was the first institution in France to include social sciences.
